Can I import working hours to record minus hours retroactively?
The import of working hours is currently not supported in our platform. However, the working time balances can be adjusted manually and thus the current overtime can be set up for the start with Tellent HR Manage.
Why are there no working hours displayed for my employee in month X?
Why are there no working hours displayed for my employee in month X?
If you don’t see any working hours for your employee, it is likely due to adjustments made to their work schedule. Schedule changes always apply retroactively, starting from the 1st of the month.
If the overtime balance is affected, you can manually adjust the overtime account to the correct value the next day, after the system recalculates the monthly overtime.
Why do strange numbers appear in the Overtime balance?
Why do strange numbers appear in the Overtime balance?
This usually happens because of how the overtime calculation frequency is set in the work schedule.
If the overtime is calculated daily, an entry is added to the overtime balance at the end of each day. If a user does not complete their attendance before the day ends, negative overtime hours will be shown.
Once the user (or their manager) updates the attendance on the next day, a new entry is created in the overtime balance. This will offset the previous negative value, and the balance will be corrected automatically.
Why is the Overtime balance still negative after a time off request was taken?
Why is the Overtime balance still negative after a time off request was taken?
This can happen if the "Count as absence" setting was not enabled when the time off rule was configured.
If this setting is disabled, the time off request is not treated as an official absence. As a result, if the user does not log any work time or submit another approved absence on that day, it will be treated as missing time, and negative hours will appear in the Overtime balance.
To avoid this, make sure the time off type is set to "Count as absence" during setup.
Why is a surplus shown instead of overtime in Attendance?
Why is a surplus shown instead of overtime in Attendance?
A surplus appears in Attendance when extra hours worked have not yet been classified as overtime.
Once the surplus is classified as overtime, both values will be shown:
Surplus – hours worked beyond scheduled time, not yet counted as overtime.
Overtime – surplus hours that have been officially classified as overtime.
How often, and whether surplus is converted into overtime at all, depends on the overtime settings in the employee’s work schedule.
How can I adjust breaks to match the breaks already taken?
How can I adjust breaks to match the breaks already taken?
Currently, automatic breaks in Tellent HR Manage are fixed and based on the total time worked. This means they cannot be adjusted manually to match the actual breaks already taken by an employee.
At this time, it is not possible to change the value of automatic breaks based on real break durations.
