Want to know how your employees really feel about their jobs, managers, and your company?
An engagement survey is a helpful tool for discovering what’s working well, what’s not, and where you should focus your efforts. By gathering this feedback, you can make informed changes to your leadership, processes, and company culture.
How it works
In Tellent HR, you can create engagement survey campaigns to send surveys to all employees or specific teams. Each campaign uses a form template you created.
When you start the campaign, everyone gets an email invitation to complete the survey. You can track progress, send reminders, and review the results after people submit their responses.
Before you start
Before creating your campaign:
Set up your questions by going to Engagement and clicking Form templates. If you haven’t created a form yet, we recommend reading How to create a form template.
Decide whether to invite everyone in the company, specific teams, or individual employees to participate in the survey. You can organize employees into groups and departments to make this easier.
Create an engagement survey campaign
1. Go to the Engagement section and click New survey.
2. Give your survey a name. Choose something short, clear, and easy to recognize later.
You can also choose to make the survey anonymous. Keeping it anonymous can encourage more honest feedback since responses won’t be tied to individual employees.
3. Specify who will receive the survey: everyone in the company or specific groups, departments, or individuals.
4. Pick a form template for your survey. Click Preview to see how the questions will look to your participants.
5. Set a deadline for when the survey should be completed.
6. Personalize the email subject line and message that participants will receive.
7. Click Set up a campaign draft to create your engagement survey campaign. Then, click Launch the campaign to send it out.
Manage your active campaign
Once your campaign is live and the participants have been notified, you can:
Track progress: Check the main Engagement page to see how many people have responded. For more details, visit the specific campaign page.
Add participants: If you want to include more people, click the three-dot menu on the campaign page.
Send reminders: To nudge participants, use the Remind dropdown menu on the campaign page. You can remind everyone, only those who haven’t started yet, or those who are currently working on it. To remind an individual, click the three-dot menu next to their name.
Analyze the results
After your survey closes, you’ll have some useful insights to help you make positive changes in your organization.
