The Requests view brings time off requests into a single, organized table.
Managers, approvers, and administrators can use it to quickly scan key details, filter the list, and review individual requests as needed.
Access the Requests view
The Requests view is available to specific users based on their role and assignments.
You can access this view if you are:
A user with at least one direct report.
An approver in an approval flow.
An administrator.
To see the Requests table:
1. Go to Time off in the main menu.
2. Click on Requests.
Who sees what
The table shows information based on your permissions:
Managers can see requests from everyone who reports to them, including all direct reports and their teams.
Approvers can see requests from employees assigned to their approval flows. Typically, an employee’s direct manager is the approver.
Administrators can see requests from everyone.
Key actions and notes
This view helps administrators and managers see employee requests that may not appear on their dashboard because they are not the direct approver.
When you click on any row in the table, a pop-up window will open with more details about the request. From there, you can take actions such as approving or declining the request, depending on your permissions.
You can also find this table in the Employee profile under Time off. It will only list that employee’s requests, but you can still filter and export the data as usual.
Table structure
The table includes these columns to track each request:
Employee: The team member who made the request.
Time off type: The reason for the time off (e.g., Vacation, Sick Leave).
Duration: The number of days taken off. This typically refers to working days, as per the time-off policy.
Start and End Date: The dates when the time off begins and ends.
Status: The current progress of the request. This can be:
Pending: The request is waiting for approval.
Approved: The request has been automatically approved, or all approvers have accepted it.
Declined: An approver has rejected the request.
Cancelled: The user, an approver, or an administrator has cancelled the request.
Filter and export requests
Use the available filtering and export tools to process the data efficiently.
Apply filters
Narrow down the requests in the table by using the filter options.
1. Click the Filters button.
2. In the pop-up window that appears, click Add filters.
3. Choose the filters you want to use. The options are:
Department or group
Employee
Has attachment
Location
Number of days
Overlaps with period
Request end date
Request start date

4. After you set your filter criteria, click Apply filters to update the table.
Export requests to CSV
You can export the current table data, including any filters you’ve applied, for use outside of Tellent HR.
Click the Export button next to Filters.
The exported CSV file will have the same information as the table, plus two additional columns for identifying employees:
Employee ID: A unique number created by Tellent HR.
Employee number: An internal ID found in the employee profile.
