Automatic campaigns are designed to save time by triggering reviews on specific dates, such as an employee’s hire date. However, if certain data is missing or incorrect, the review may not launch as expected. This guide will help you identify and fix the most common issues.
Why a review didn't trigger
If you notice a scheduled review hasn't been triggered for an employee, review the following conditions:
The reference date (e.g., date of hire) is not entered on the employee's profile.
Automatic campaigns rely on a reference date (e.g., "Date of hire") to calculate the launch day. If this field is empty on the employee's profile, the system has no date to base its calculation on.

The trigger window has passed. The trigger is time-sensitive. If the reference date is entered too late, the window for launching the review may have already passed.
Example: Your campaign is set to trigger an interview 2 weeks after the hire date. An employee was hired on October 1st, but their hire date was only entered into their profile on October 20th. Because more than two weeks have already passed, the system will not trigger the review.
The employee does not match the target audience. If your campaign is configured only to target specific employees (e.g., based on a Group), the employee must have matching information on their profile to be included.
⚠️ Important: A review requires both a reviewee and a reviewer (their manager). If the employee does not have a manager assigned, the review will be created with a Missing reviewer status.
How to schedule a review for a missed employee
It is not yet possible to manually add an employee to a running automatic campaign. If a review fails to trigger for someone, we recommend one of the following two options.
Option 1: Launch a manual review
The simplest solution is to launch a separate, manual 1-on-1 review for the employee. This keeps your automatic campaign's data clean and doesn't require changing employee profile information.
Option 2: Adjust the reference date
You can temporarily change the employee's reference date on their profile to a more recent date. This will cause the system to see the employee as newly eligible, and it will trigger the review.
📌 Note: Scheduled interview will be visible to the ADMIN/HR from the campaign, but not from the reviewee/reviewer profile page. They will receive a notification on the scheduled interview day.
