Every pulse survey you send collects responses automatically, but the real value comes from what you do with the results. This article walks you through reading a single check, tracking trends over time, and filtering results by department, manager, or group.
📌 Note: Only HR can access pulse survey results.
Find your pulse survey results
Every check you've sent shows up on its own, so you can always find a specific result.
Go to Grow > Engagement > Pulse surveys.
Click the Checks tab to see every check sent so far.
Read a single check's results
Each check shows the average score and the response distribution for every metric included in it.
Click a check to open its details.
Click a specific metric to see its average, median, and full distribution.
View comments
Some questions include an open comment field, and you can read those alongside the score.
Filter the check's answers to show only responses with comments.
Read the comments alongside their score to understand the context behind a result.
📌 Note: If a check, or a filtered view of it, would show fewer than five responses, Tellent hides the result to protect anonymity.
Track trends over time
The summary page rolls up every check into a single trend view, so you can see how each metric moves over time instead of comparing one check at a time.
Go to the Summary tab.
Review your ENPS score and other tracked metrics, along with how each has changed since the last period.
Click a metric to see more detail behind the trend.
Filter and drill down
Both the Checks tab and the Summary tab support the same filters, so you can narrow results down to the group you care about.
Department
Manager
Group
Any custom field you use, like location
💡 Tip: Filtering by manager is a fast way to see how a specific team is doing without leaving the summary view.
Export your results

Examples
Scenario: Spotting a workload trend before it becomes a problem
While reviewing the summary page, you notice the workload metric has been trending down for three months. You filter by department and see the dip is concentrated in one team. You reach out to that team's manager before the trend turns into turnover.
Scenario: Using comments to understand an ENPS dip
Your ENPS score drops in this quarter's check. Instead of guessing why, you open the check, filter for responses with comments, and read what employees actually said.
